Breakfast Meal Prepping Recipes (Videos)

As you know, we have all heard breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Just as other meals can be prepped, breakfast can be prepped ahead of time as well. Meal prepping breakfast is especially great if you are someone who is extremely busy in the morning and don’t have time to make it everyday.

As I stated in my blog “Breakfast – The Most Important Meal, there are definitely advantages to eating breakfast every morning:

1) Improves blood glucose and insulin levels, especially when eaten within two hours of waking up in the morning
2) Breakfast foods not only provide energy, but also nutrients like calcium, iron, B vitamins, protein and fiber
3) Improves your body’s metabolism
4) Helps to facilitate weight loss by keeping blood sugar spikes in check

Studies have shown a variety of reasons why eating breakfast is so important:
1) People who eat breakfast tend to consume healthier foods throughout the entire day and are less likely to be overweight.
2) When smaller meals are consumed at breakfast, hunger sets in again in as little as two hours later.
3) Eating restores glucose and carb levels needed for brain function which improves memory and concentration levels. Therefore, youngsters and teenagers perform better in school
when they have more energy.

  1. I LOVE overnight oats and am always on the lookout for new flavour suggestions. My favourite is raspberry or blueberry overnight oats, although I am eyeing off that carrot cake one! I find these are a great breakfast on work mornings as they transport well in my lunchbox and keep me full for hours. Thank you so much for sharing these videos with some really great ideas!
