Proper cool down is:
A) 3 – 5 minutes of lower intensity focusing on deep breathing
B) 5 minutes of stretching the muscles
C) Choose 3 – 5 stretches targeting those muscles you worked out. Hold each stretch for 20 – 30 seconds

Just as warming up is essential when exercising, cooling down is extremely important. There are benefits to cooling down. Listen to your body and be aware of lactic acid build up. Seek medical attention if you don’t feel well after you stop working out.
