What are prebiotics? What is the link between prebiotics and weight loss? First, let me explain a little about the gut. There are one TRILLION microorganisms (microbiota) that live in the human digestive track meaning the gut contains ten times more bacteria than all the human cells within the body. The gut contains both good and bad bacteria and it is important to feed the good bacteria. Prebiotics can nourish the good bacteria as well as help you feel full, which plays a huge role in losing weight.

Having an unhealthy gut can cause problems like gas, bloating and pain. In addition to those problems, there are other health issues that can result such as:
